Fabulous 1700's 22k three color gold locket pin. This beautiful early brooch retains its original extra long pin stem common in the early Georgian period, the length allowed for passing it thru fabric several times to make it more secure when wearing. The little locket opens to the back and would have held a lock of hair or love token. The delicate gold work is fashioned into a floral motif and bears a hallmark to the front on one of the leaves. In amazing condition and delightfully tiny and delicate.

Details.....The brooch itself measures .72" x .45", and the pin is 1.32" long. The hinge works beautifully and the locket stays closed nicely.
