This engaging Edwardian bar pin sparkles with old European cut diamonds. The brooch is an elongated diamond shape of lacy pierced and engraved platinum. Eight dazzling diamonds are set horizontally across the brooch; the two largest stones nestle together at the center of the piece. The diamonds have a total weight of 0.50cts. The diamond-set platinum is layered over a frame and safety clasp of 14k yellow gold. Two tone filigree in this style creates depth and versatility. A gorgeous piece with the size and weight to make a statement, ideal for a jacket or coat, the style of pin suggests it may have originally been worn on a fur. Circa 1910.
