This enchanting Coro nosegay brooch pairs a lily with a tulip. The flowers' petals are paved in very pale yellow rhinestones. Were the stones always yellow, or have they changed with age? It's difficult to say, but their current shade is a very pretty Springtime color appropriate to the blooms. The leaves, stems and pistils are cold enameled in green, brown and black; the tremblant pistils move gently when you do. This lovely brooch is signed "Coro." Circa 1940.
Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger established the New York accessories boutique Coro in 1901. Coro purchased a manufacturing facility in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1929, which became the world's largest costume jewelry facility.
Details.....The brooch measures 2" by 3.43". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
